A US LLC (LLC USA, in the words most founders type) is a limited liability company registered in one American state. Founders in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Morocco and 9 other Arab countries can form and own one from home, with no visa, no Social Security Number and no trip to the United States. This guide covers the full path in order: choosing the state, filing the company, getting the EIN, opening a US bank account, applying for Stripe, and keeping the company in good standing every year. Each section answers one question and links to a deeper guide.

What is a US LLC, and why do founders in Arab countries form one?

A US LLC is a company registered with one US state that keeps the owner's personal money separate from the business. Founders in Arab countries form one to get US banking and payment tools that are blocked or limited at home.

The legal form is simple. One person can own 100% of the company, called a single-member LLC. Two or more people can own it together, called a multi-member LLC. The owner does not need to be a US citizen or a US resident. The company exists under state law, and the IRS gives it a federal tax number, the EIN.

The practical reason is payments. A freelancer in Cairo, a store owner in Casablanca or a software founder in Riyadh often sells to clients in the US and Europe. Those clients want to pay by card or bank transfer to a company. Payment providers ask where the business is registered and where its bank account sits. A US company with a US account changes both answers.

If you are new to the idea of a company with limited liability, read what an LLC is and how a US LLC differs from a local company. It compares a US LLC with the company forms available in Arab countries.

Who can form a US LLC from an Arab country?

Any adult with a valid passport can legally form a US LLC from abroad. Arab LLC accepts founders who live in 13 Arab countries, where US banks and Stripe accept residents in practice.

RegionCountries Arab LLC serves
GulfSaudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain
North AfricaEgypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania
Levant and Horn of AfricaJordan, Djibouti

US law does not stop a resident of any country from filing a company. The real limit comes later, at the bank. US banks screen owners by country of residence, and they decline residents of countries under US sanctions in nearly every case. A company that cannot open a bank account cannot accept Stripe, so it brings little value to its owner.

For that reason Arab LLC does not serve residents of Syria, Yemen, Sudan or Somalia, and it does not serve Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine or Comoros, where bank review is heavy. We review this list every 6 months. Each served country has its own guide with documents, banks and home tax rules. Start from the US LLC guides by Arab country, or go straight to the guide for founders in Saudi Arabia, the guide for founders in the UAE, the guide for founders in Egypt or the guide for founders in Morocco.

Why form your US LLC in Wyoming instead of Delaware?

Wyoming costs less to form and to keep, and it charges LLCs no state income tax and no franchise tax. Delaware suits founders who plan to raise money from US venture funds through a C-Corp.

The Wyoming LLC state filing fee is $100(Source: Wyoming Secretary of State). The Wyoming annual report costs $60 minimum per year(Source: Wyoming Secretary of State). Delaware charges LLCs a $300 flat annual tax(Source: 6 Del. Code § 18-1107) under 6 Del. Code § 18-1107. Wyoming has no state income tax and no franchise tax on LLCs(Source: Wyoming Department of Revenue).

Over five years, the yearly state charge is $300 in Wyoming at the $60 minimum and $1,500 in Delaware. The Wyoming Secretary of State publishes its fees on sos.wyo.gov. The state of formation does not change your US federal tax position, and it does not change your home-country tax position. It changes the yearly state bill and the paperwork.

If you are already sure you want a C-Corp for US investors, Delaware is the standard choice. For most Arab founders who sell online and keep the profits, Wyoming keeps the yearly cost lower.

How do you form a US LLC from an Arab country, step by step?

You form a US LLC from an Arab country in six steps: choose the name, file with Wyoming, sign the operating agreement, get the EIN, open the bank account, then apply for payment providers.

StepWhat happensWho decides
1Pick three company name options and describe your business activityYou
2File the Articles of Organization with Wyoming through a registered agentWyoming Secretary of State
3Sign the operating agreement that sets out ownership and managementYou (the owner)
4Apply for the EIN with IRS Form SS-4, without an SSNIRS
5Apply for a US business bank account with the company documentsThe bank
6Apply for Stripe or PayPal in the company's nameStripe or PayPal

Steps 1 to 4 are paperwork, and the state and the IRS follow published rules. Steps 5 and 6 are reviews by private companies, and each provider applies its own policy. This split matters. A formation service can file the company and the EIN with high certainty. It can prepare the bank and Stripe files well. It cannot decide the outcome of steps 5 and 6.

Wyoming law requires every LLC to keep a registered agent with a physical address in the state. The registered agent receives legal mail and state notices for the company. This is why you never need a US address of your own to form the company.

The order of the steps also matters. Banks ask for the Articles of Organization and the EIN letter. Stripe asks for a US bank account. If you apply to Stripe before the bank account is open, the application stops at the payout step.

What documents does a founder in an Arab country need to form a US LLC?

A founder in an Arab country needs a valid passport, a current home address, three company name options and a short description of the business. You do not need notarized or translated documents to form the company.

The passport is the identity document for the state filing, the EIN application and the bank review. Check the expiry date first, because banks reject expired passports at once. Your national ID card does not replace the passport for US banks.

The home address is where you live today. Banks compare it with a proof of address, such as a utility bill or a bank statement in your name. The formation step itself accepts the address as you write it.

The business description is one or two sentences. "We build websites for clients in Europe" or "We sell handmade leather goods online" is enough. Be specific and honest, because the bank and Stripe read the same description later and compare it with your website.

The full checklist, with examples for each country, is in the guide to the documents required to form a US LLC.

How much does a US LLC cost in the first year and after?

A Wyoming US LLC with Arab LLC costs $397 service + $100 Wyoming state fee = $497 first year in the first year. From year two, the state charges a $60 minimum annual report, and the company needs a registered agent and its yearly US tax filing.

Wyoming annual reportNone$60 minimum per year

The Arab LLC first-year price is $397 service + $100 Wyoming state fee = $497(Source: Arab LLC pricing). The first year includes the Wyoming filing, the registered agent for year 1, the EIN, the operating agreement, and help applying for a US bank account and for Stripe. The Arab LLC pricing page lists every line of the price.

The IRS does not charge a fee for an EIN. Digital US banks list their own account fees on their websites. Stripe charges a fee on each payment, published on its pricing page. Your home bank charges its own fees for incoming wire transfers.

For a full breakdown in local currencies, read what a US LLC costs from an Arab country. The US LLC cost calculator adds the yearly costs for the setup you choose.

How does the EIN work for a US LLC owned from an Arab country?

The EIN is the federal tax number the IRS gives your US LLC. A non-resident owner gets it with IRS Form SS-4 and does not need an SSN or an ITIN.

Non-residents get an EIN with IRS Form SS-4 without an SSN(Source: IRS Form SS-4 instructions). The IRS publishes the form and its instructions on the Form SS-4 page. The IRS online EIN application asks for an SSN or ITIN for the responsible party, so owners without one apply by fax or mail with the paper form.

The EIN belongs to the company, not to you. It appears on the IRS confirmation letter, called the CP 575 notice, and banks ask for this letter. Keep a copy with your company documents.

The EIN is a real federal tax number, and it is the only number most foreign owners need. It is not a personal tax number. If you personally need a US taxpayer number, for example to claim a treaty benefit, the legal route is an ITIN. An ITIN (Form W-7) can be processed through an IRS Certifying Acceptance Agent(Source: IRS Form W-7 instructions).

Many Arab founders search for a "US tax number" sold online as a shortcut. There is no fake US tax number that works with a bank. The guide to the so-called US tax number myth explains the difference between the EIN, the ITIN and the offers to avoid.

How do you open a US bank account for your LLC from an Arab country?

You open a US bank account for your LLC by applying online to a digital bank with the Articles of Organization, the EIN letter, your passport and a clear business description. The bank reviews and decides.

Digital banks such as Mercury, Relay and Wise Business accept non-resident owners most often. Acceptance depends on the bank, your country of residence and your business type. Traditional banks with branches ask for a visit in most cases.

Every US bank must identify the people behind a company. Under 31 CFR 1010.230, the bank collects the identity of each person who owns 25% or more of the company and of one person who controls it. For a single-member LLC, that person is you. This is why the bank asks for your passport even though the account belongs to the company.

If one bank declines, you can apply to another. A rejection does not affect the company or the EIN. Read the guide to opening a US bank account from an Arab country, the comparison of US banks for Arab founders and the guide to a rejected bank application. The US business bank account service prepares and submits the applications for you.

How does a US LLC help you accept Stripe and PayPal payments?

A US LLC lets you apply to Stripe and PayPal as a US company with a US bank account and an EIN, instead of as a resident of a country where they are limited.

As of October 2026, Stripe lists the UAE as a supported country, while residents of many other Arab countries cannot open a Stripe account in their own name. The official list is on Stripe's global availability page. Our Stripe availability tracker by country shows each Arab country with the date of the last check.

The path has four rungs. We call it the Payment Access Ladder. Each rung has a different decision maker.

  1. 01

    Know what is blocked

Check what Stripe and PayPal allow in your country, with the date of the check.

    Decided by: the provider

  2. 02

    US LLC and EIN

Form the Wyoming LLC and get the EIN from the IRS without an SSN.

Decided by: Wyoming and the IRS

  3. 03

    US bank account

Apply to US business accounts with the company documents.

    Decided by: the bank

  4. 04

Stripe or PayPal on the LLC

Apply in the company's name with the US account.

    Decided by: Stripe or PayPal

Stripe reviews the company, the owner, the website and the products. A clear website with real products, prices, a refund policy and contact details helps the review. Stripe or PayPal makes the final decision, and no one can guarantee approval.

For details on each provider, read the guide to Stripe, PayPal and Payoneer for Arab businesses. For a PayPal Business account on the company, see the guide to PayPal Business on a US LLC. The Stripe setup service prepares the company file for the Stripe review.

Do you need a US LLC, or is Payoneer enough for founders in Arab countries?

Payoneer is enough if you only receive platform payouts, such as Upwork or Amazon, in your own name. A US LLC fits you if you need Stripe on your own store or want to invoice clients as a company.

Founder typeWhat a US LLC solvesMain tool

Payoneer is popular in North Africa. Payoneer gets 18,100 searches per month in Morocco and 14,800 in Egypt(Source: DataForSEO Sep 2026). Many founders use both: Payoneer for platform payouts and a US LLC for direct clients and card payments.

Each use case has its own guide. Read the guides for freelancers, Shopify store owners, Amazon sellers and software founders. Platforms such as Upwork and Amazon Seller Central publish their own payout and tax form rules.

What US tax filings does a foreign-owned US LLC have each year?

A single-member US LLC owned by a non-resident is a disregarded entity for US federal tax. It files Form 5472 with a pro-forma Form 1120 every year, and your home country taxes still apply to you.

Foreign-owned single-member LLCs file Form 5472 with a pro-forma Form 1120(Source: Treas. Reg. § 1.6038A-1; IRS instructions). The filing reports transactions between the company and its owner, such as money you put in or take out. The penalty for a missing Form 5472 is $25,000 per form per year(Source: IRC § 6038A(d); IRS Form 5472 instructions), under IRC § 6038A(d). The IRS explains the filing on the Form 5472 page.

US-formed LLCs are exempt from BOI reporting since 21 March 2025(Source: FinCEN interim final rule, 90 FR 13688), under FinCEN's interim final rule published at 90 FR 13688. FinCEN explains the change on its BOI page. The Form 5472 filing service files the return for you each year. For a plain explanation of the form, read Form 5472 explained. The guide to US LLC taxes for owners abroad covers both sides of the Two-Country Tax Rule. This page is general information, not tax advice.

How do the rules differ between Arab countries for a US LLC?

The US side is the same for every Arab country: the same Wyoming filing, EIN and Form 5472. The differences are at home, in tax rules, currency rules and which payment providers serve residents.

CountryHome tax authorityWhat to check before you start
Saudi ArabiaZATCAZakat and income tax on your income
United Arab EmiratesFederal Tax AuthorityUAE corporate tax rules
EgyptEgyptian Tax AuthorityIncome tax and transfers from abroad
MoroccoDirection Générale des ImpôtsIncome tax and foreign exchange rules

JordanIncome and Sales Tax DepartmentIncome tax on foreign income
TunisiaMinistry of FinanceIncome tax and foreign exchange rules
Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, BahrainKuwait, Qatar, Oman, BahrainLocal tax rules on your income
Mauritania, DjiboutiNational tax administrationIncome tax and transfers from abroad

The country column changes the advice you need at home, not the US paperwork. A founder in Dubai and a founder in Algiers file the same Wyoming documents. They face different questions when the money arrives at home. Ask an accountant in your country how your local rules treat profits from a US company.

Moving profits home works the same way from every country: a wire from the US bank account to your local account, or a transfer service such as Wise. Costs and limits depend on your country's currency rules. The guide to moving money out of a US LLC covers the options. Country guides cover the Gulf states, Algeria, Jordan and Tunisia, Mauritania and Djibouti.

Which mistakes should Arab founders avoid when forming a US LLC?

The most costly mistakes are skipping Form 5472, applying to Stripe before the bank account exists, using different business descriptions, and believing a US company ends your home-country tax.

MistakeWhat it costsHow to avoid it
No Form 5472 filing$25,000 penalty per form per yearFile every year, even with zero revenue
Stripe before a bank accountApplication stops at payoutsOpen the bank account first
Different activity descriptionsBank or Stripe review flags the fileUse one description everywhere
Missed Wyoming annual reportThe state can dissolve the companyPay the $60 minimum report on time
Ignoring home-country taxPenalties at homeAsk a local accountant before the first payout
Buying a "tax number" shortcutBank rejection and lost moneyUse the real EIN from the IRS

The second group of mistakes is about the website. Stripe and banks read your website. A site with no prices, no refund policy and no contact page fails reviews that a complete site passes. Build the site before you apply.

The third group is about the provider you choose. Many services sell US company formation to Arab founders. Some show a low price and add the state fee, the registered agent and the EIN later. Compare the first-year total and the renewal price. Our comparison of US LLC services for Arab founders lists each provider with dated prices. The US LLC provider comparisons put Arab LLC next to individual services, and US LLC vs UAE free zone helps founders in the Emirates choose between the two.

How does Arab LLC help you form a US LLC from an Arab country?

Arab LLC forms your Wyoming LLC, gets the EIN, prepares the operating agreement and helps you apply for a US bank account and Stripe, in English or Arabic. The price is $397 service + $100 Wyoming state fee = $497 first year.

The US LLC formation service describes what is included and what is not. Arab LLC prepares and submits each application. The state approves the company, the IRS issues the EIN, the bank opens the account, and Stripe or PayPal approve the payment account. We do not promise any of those approvals, because those decisions belong to the providers.

We show the full price, including the state fee, before you pay. We do not sell tax shortcuts, and we tell every client that home-country tax rules apply. Every page on this site shows its date of last update, and we update the Stripe and bank pages when providers change their rules.

Frequently asked questions

Can I form a US company while living in an Arab country?

Yes. US law lets non-residents form and fully own an LLC without visiting the US, without a visa and without a Social Security Number. You need a registered agent with an address in the state, which is included in our service.

How much does it cost?

$397 for our service plus the $100 Wyoming state fee: $497 for the first year. That includes formation, registered agent for year one, EIN, and help applying for a US bank account and Stripe. The yearly renewal price is shown before you pay.

What is an LLC?

A limited liability company: a legal entity that separates your personal money from the company. A single-member US LLC owned by a non-resident is a disregarded entity for tax by default. It pays no federal income tax at company level if it has no US effectively connected income, but it must file Form 5472 every year.

Why Wyoming and not Delaware?

Wyoming costs less to form ($100) and to maintain (annual report from $60), with no state income tax and no franchise tax. Delaware charges LLCs $300 a year and suits founders raising from US funds with a C-Corp.

Do I need to travel to the US?

No. Formation, the EIN and applications to digital banks such as Mercury and Relay are done fully online.

Which countries do you serve?

13 countries: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Jordan, Tunisia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Mauritania and Djibouti. We do not currently serve countries under US sanctions or countries whose residents US banks do not accept. We review the list every 6 months.

What documents do I need?

A valid passport, your current address, three name options and your business activity. No notarized or translated documents.

Is Stripe available in my country?

It depends on the country and changes over time. Stripe supports the UAE directly, while residents of many Arab countries cannot open a local account. Our Stripe availability tracker shows each country with the date of the last check.

Payoneer or a US company?

Payoneer suits receiving platform payouts (Upwork, Amazon) in your own name. A US company suits you if you need Stripe for your store, want to invoice clients as a company, or need a US business bank account. Many clients use both.

How do I move profits to my country?

From the US bank account to your local account by wire, or through services such as Wise. Costs and limits depend on your country's currency rules. Each country page explains them.

Which US banks accept clients from Arab countries?

Digital banks such as Mercury, Relay and Wise Business accept non-residents most often, but it varies by country and business type. We publish our clients' approval rates by country once we have enough data.

What if my bank application is rejected?

We apply to more than one bank. If one rejects you, we help improve the file and apply elsewhere. The company and EIN stay yours either way.

Will my company pay US tax?

A single-member LLC owned by a non-resident is a disregarded entity by default and pays no federal income tax without US effectively connected income. It must still file Form 5472 with a pro-forma Form 1120 every year.

What is the Form 5472 penalty?

$25,000 per form per year under IRC § 6038A. Our Form 5472 service files it for you.

Do I need to file a BOI report?

Since 21 March 2025, US-formed companies, including those owned by non-residents, are exempt under FinCEN's interim final rule (90 FR 13688). We track changes.
